Autospecter carries out an independent visual and functional inspection of a used vehicle at an agreed location, and provides a written report with photographs of what was found.

An inspection records the vehicle's visible and testable condition at the time and place it was inspected. It is not a guarantee, a warranty, or an insurance product, and it does not certify roadworthiness.

It is not a substitute for a Puspakom inspection, and it does not replace any statutory or ownership-transfer requirement.

We cannot detect faults that are not visible or testable at the time of inspection, including intermittent faults, concealed damage behind fixed trim, and defects that develop after the inspection date.

Used Plus reports include a star rating of the car's condition, worked out by Autospecter following the method of MS 2728:2023. It describes the car on the day of the inspection, from the rated checks only. It is not a certification, a valuation or a guarantee.

The inspection depends on the seller granting access to the vehicle. Some checks, including any test drive, require the seller's permission. Where access or permission is refused, we complete the remaining checks and record the refusal in the report.

The report is information to help you decide. Any decision to buy, negotiate or walk away is yours alone, and we are not a party to your transaction with the seller.

Bookings are confirmed over WhatsApp. Prices shown on this site are per vehicle for one inspection at one location, and may change without notice. The price applicable to you is the one confirmed at booking.

Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. Where an inspector has already travelled to the location, a call-out charge may apply.

Our liability in connection with an inspection is limited to the fee paid for that inspection, to the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
